The movie clips require the QuickTime plug-in from Apple Computer, Inc. It is free for both the Wintel (IBM PC) and Macintosh platforms.
After downloading the plug-in and QuickTime installer, run the installer to install QuickTime. Be sure the QuickTime browser plug-in is put in your browser's "Plug-in" folder (directory). Restart your computer.
Crashes and may problems can be caused by low memory conditions. Be sure a large enough memory partition is assigned to your browser so it can handle the movies. 20 MB is a useful amount.
The tutorials are organized into weekly sessions designed to accompany topics covered in lecture. Each week a folder containing the lessons for the week will open. The folders for the other topics will be closed, but all the materials will be there so you can review previous week's lessons. To open a folder click on its icon or name once and wait for it to open. The topics are meant to be sequentially studied; however, you can easily jump back and forth through the topics for review using the menu system.
